Is this just another one of those how to make money online articles? The answer is yes, it is. Is this article an all original idea? Of course not, million of articles have been written about it for years, how could it be all original? Is this my own opinion about this topic and did not copy it from someone else’s blog. Yes. I wrote this one with just my laptop and my general idea on how it works. Satisfied? Now let’s move on.

How to make money online? - A million dollar question or maybe a few cents worth, depending on whom you ask. Make money online has got to be the one of the most searched topic in the web. People hoping to augment their income through online means have typed this phrase gazillion times in search engines. Several blogs has been written about this particular phrase, online gurus have been teaching those who are willing to listen (and read) about how to strike gold online. But how is it really done? Or the bigger question is- Can it be done?

IS IT REALLY POSSIBLE TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE?
How viable is making money online? I will tell you now, it is very viable! And yes! It can be done. If not, then you won’t see bloggers, and blogging tutors wasting their time writing and brainstorming ideas online if they get nothing out of it. If you have a Google Adsense account positioned in a site that actually get some real visitors clicking on it, you could actually monitor those few cents after the dollar sign adding up on the dashboard. People get paid online, that is the truth. Now, since we are talking about truth, let me tell you another truth; getting those visitors to visit your site and click on those ads is the hardest part of all.

I have seen blogs took off enthusiastically only to loose steam before getting halfway to their destination. Earning through blogging could be very disheartening most of the time. So before you get into the blogging fray, be warned, this business is not for the weak hearted. You’ve got to have the grit to be able to make it.

You see, blogging to begin with is like farming (in a way, at least). There are a lot of things that needs to be done before you can harvest. In farming, before harvest, you needed to plow the field, select nice seeds for planting and it’s better if it is something you are familiar with, sow the seeds, irrigate it to make sure enough water would flow into it, fertilize to keep the plant healthy, you need to check it regularly to make sure no insects would feast on it, the wait for the proper time for harvest to maximize the yield. A harvest too early could compromise the produce’s quality. You get the picture?

It takes time to get the result you desire. I could say the same thing is true with blogging, it takes time and preparation. You need to choose what your blog will be all about and it’s better if it’s something you are familiar with. Familiarity with the chosen topic brings forth an air of confidence and confidence most often brings forth an air of authority. In the blogging world authority means a lot of things, most of them good. In blogging you need to irrigate your field, make sure that fresh ideas flow in, this will be beneficial in the long run.

Now let’s talk a bit about Search Engine Optimization or SEO. SEO is making you blog or site search engine friendly, the general idea of SEO is to try to make your blog rank higher, the higher your page rank is, the closer your site will be on the first page of the search engine results page (SERP). The higher your rank is, the greater is your chance to attract as many visitors to your site. This influx of visitors is called traffic and in blogging, a heavy traffic is most desirable. But traffic, ladies and gents, doesn’t necessarily mean money. It is in this area that learning proper marketing technique and copywriting is very critical because this is the part where the make-money-online phrase that you have been typing on search bars happens.

After these comes the part where you have to fertilize, you need to keep updated topics on your blog, if you feel that some topics has been outdated, you need to tweak some portions of it bring it up to date of simply remove it once and for all. Remember that the more updated your blog is, the more your visitors will find it useful. You may also find the need to rewrite some articles altogether. Blogging could be a very monotonous process that spreads out for a very long time.

Now you’re getting the picture. Earning money from blogging is a long term business. Yes you read it right- business, because at the end of the day you need to treat it like one. You’ve got to have a plan on how to make it boom. Set achievable goals and try to reach them, and then go on from there. Like all business, you’ve got to have capital and the drive to keep on pushing. The most important part here is not to give up. One way or the other, when you don’t give up, you’ll get there eventually.
